During a dental examination Banyan Dental will use instruments, tests, radio graphs and clinical expertise to diagnose potential or existent disease states and pathologies. Our primary focus is to form an individualized plan to prevent or treat disease states of the oral cavity. In the case of Cosmetic Dentistry, we will work with you to identify your esthetic goals.
General Dentistry and Advanced Restorative Procedures
Although we cannot discuss all of the treatments we perform within the context of this page, we have outlined a few of our most common procedures.
Dental fillings are used to repair damage to the structure of a tooth or teeth. After the removal of the diseased tooth structure, the tooth is restored with the appropriate filling material. This may be gold, amalgam, white filling material, or porcelain. No man-made filling is perfect, each filling material has its advantages and disadvantages.
Bonding is the process of using composite resins to attach materials to the surface of a tooth for restorative purposes. Teeth with small chips or cracks are typically repaired through bonding. An porcelain-like material is applied to the surface of a tooth, sculpted into shape, contoured and polished, making the crack or chip invisible.
Root canal therapy removes infected nerve tissue within the root canal space of the tooth. Once the infected material is removed the tooth is filled with an antibacterial filling, and the tooth is “capped” with a Dental Crown for protection.
Dental crowns also known as a “cap” can repair teeth that are decayed or damaged beyond what a simple filling can correct.
Dental bridges replace missing teeth with an artificial tooth/crown. The artificial tooth/crown is held in place by being anchored to surrounding teeth.
Denture and Partial Dentures are used to replace missing teeth. A Full Denture replaces all the teeth in an arch, while Partial Dentures replace one or several teeth in an arch.
Wisdom teeth extraction, impacted teeth extraction.
The treatments for early gum disease typically include tooth scaling and cleaning. Later-stage gum disease treatment may include deep-plane scaling with local anesthesia, or even periodontal surgery and laser surgery.
Special treatment considerations are made for those in need such as children, the elderly and those with disabilities.
Banyan Dental is owned and operated by Dr. Jade Thomas. Dr. Jade Thomas graduate of the University of Tennessee and have practiced in private dental practice settings in Florida for many years.
We realized early in our careers that one simple mission allowed us to have phenomenally successful careers, as well as, near 100% patient satisfaction.
OK, maybe that’s two missions, but the heart of that mission still hasn’t changed. We have dedicated ourselves to researching, developing, and observing, in an effort to discover precisely what patients need and want out of their dental experience.
